Timeline + Phaedra Ensemble - When Worlds Collide

Hey listener, here are some tracks to wrap up a bit of my musical history. The title track to the first Timeline CD 'Know Hope' (F-IRE CD 01) was an instruction to be positive in the face of negative situations, it was written during a particularly dark episode of Middle-Eastern conflict; When Worlds Collide is a musical proof that the dissimilar can co-exist side by side, it can even be fun.

LINER NOTES

The music of this album starts where we had left the story, the original Timeline line-up (Nick, Dave, Tom + Leo) contribute the radio sketch from the band's first demo cassette of 1997, and the new team (Alex, Tom + Simon) cover the music (timeline) that the band was named after, written in 1995 but only recorded 20 years later. Phil Granell's amazing Phædra Ensemble (with Emma, Rich and Lucy) contribute the other side of the juxtaposition.

Of the remaining tracks, 'Welcome Canon' has a video that better explains what is going on (look here); it was part of integrated music and dance that Timeline used to play in the 1990s. Angels + Comets is a ballad re-purposed for a large firework display... the acoustic version will probably follow on the next album. This leaves the bonus balls... well, what to say? you know how in films you get the bloopers and deleted scenes.... so here are the deleted parts of the composition 'timeline' for your amusement, with guest soloist Hammadi.
